Two eagles propelled in a single day chief Casandra Alexander to a second-round 66 because the South African seized management of the Girls’s Irish Open on the Ok Membership.
Following a bogey-free 63 on Thursday, Alexander eagled the par-five tenth – her opening gap – on Friday and adopted that with back-to-back birdies.
Having dropped a shot on 13, the 27-year-old carded a birdie two on 17 earlier than recording her second eagle of the spherical on the third.
After a bogey on six, a birdie on seven gave Alexander a 36-hole complete of 129 to sit down 5 pictures away from the Czech Republic’s Sara Kouskova (68) and American Brianna Navarrosa (65).
Canice Screene leads the house problem as she lies in a four-way tie for eighth on 5 underneath after mixing seven birdies with two bogeys in a five-under 67, however Aine Donegan slipped again to 2 underneath with a disappointing 73.
After opening with a 71, Leona Maguire reached 4 underneath for the event however bogeyed two of her final three holes to fall again to 2 underneath on the midway mark.
