Pakistan TV broke a 232-year document by efficiently defending the bottom whole in first-class cricket to beat Sui Northern within the President’s Trophy.
Set a goal of 40 runs to win, Sui Northern have been bowled out for 37 on the Nationwide Stadium in Karachi.
The earlier document was held by Oldfield after they defended 41 towards Marylebone Cricket Membership to win by six runs in August 1794.
“I’m delighted with my workforce’s world-record effort,” PTV’s head coach Mohammad Waseem advised AFP.
“My workforce’s motto is to by no means surrender, battle until the final ball.
“We now have gained all our three matches coming from nicely behind by remaining constructive in all conditions.”
