Former Australia batter Matthew Hayden is about to be named head coach of the European T20 Premier League’s Glasgow franchise.
BBC Sport understands Hayden has signed as much as coach Glasgow Cosmic for the inaugural match between 26 August and 20 September.
Hayden has break up his time between commentary work and training since retiring from taking part in in 2012.
The 54-year-old’s most up-to-date teaching job was because the Gujarat Titans’ batting coach for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Hayden beforehand held batting and mentoring roles as a part of Pakistan’s teaching employees from 2021 till after the 2022 T20 World Cup.
