Glamorgan have named all-rounder Kiran Carlson as membership captain for 2026.
The 27-year-old succeeds Sam Northeast and can lead Glamorgan as they play within the prime flight of the County Championship for the primary time in 21 years.
Carlson has led the Welsh county’s limited-overs groups for 4 years, together with two One-Day Cup triumphs, whereas Northeast – who has returned to Kent – led Glamorgan’s first-class aspect as they completed second in Division Two final season.
Glamorgan say Carlson, who rose by means of the county’s ranks, has “grown right into a key determine throughout the squad, combining constant performances with robust management qualities”.
Carlson stated he was “extraordinarily honoured and privileged” to take the position.
He added: “I’ve grown up round some superb captains and to be a Welsh boy captaining Glamorgan is an actual honour.
