Ella Hakkinen, the daughter of two-time Method 1 world champion Mika Hakkinen, has been added to the McLaren driver improvement programme.
The 14-year-old has secured wins and podium finishes round Europe in karting and would be the youngest driver on the programme.
She might be joined by Briton Ella Stevens, who’s the one lady to have gained in Britain’s premier karting class.
Stevens, 19, will signify F1 constructors’ champions McLaren alongside fellow Briton Ella Lloyd, 20, within the all-female F1 Academy sequence in 2026.
McLaren mentioned Finn Hakkinen could be testing single-seaters in preparation for 2027.
