The England and Wales Cricket Board has appointed former nationwide selector Ed Smith to its board as a non-executive director.
Smith, who performed for Middlesex and Kent and earned three Check caps, will be part of the ECB on 1 October when his one-year time period as MCC President ends.
He served as England males’s selector from 2018 to 2021, throughout which they gained the World Cup on residence soil in 2019.
