Defender Ben Davies says Wales reaching consecutive World Cup finals would “surpass all goals”.
The 32-year-old will miss the play-off semi-final in opposition to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday, 26 March in Cardiiff (19:45 GMT) and any potential last after struggling a damaged ankle taking part in for Tottenham in January.
However having been captain for almost all of the qualifying marketing campaign, Davies believes the chance to succeed in a fourth main finals within the final six can be an unimaginable achievement.
