World primary Scottie Scheffler noticed his lead lower to 4 photographs after fellow US gamers Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele closed the hole throughout a weather-disrupted second spherical on the Tour Championship.
The 2-time main winner, who began the event at 10 beneath par due to his place as chief within the FedExCup standings, had a seven-stroke lead over his two rivals after the opening spherical following a powerful opening 65 in Atlanta.
Bidding for his first FedExCup title, Scheffler birdied two of his ultimate three holes after a climate delay to card a second-round 66 and to take himself to 21 beneath par.
“I really feel like my swing is in a great place. I’ve hit it good the final couple of days,” Scheffler stated.
“Quite a lot of high quality stuff on the market, and yeah, in a great place going into the weekend.”
Morikawa is 4 again from Scheffler after hitting a 63, the perfect spherical of the day, to take sole possession of second place on the leaderboard.
The 27-year-old dropped just one shot on the eleventh gap and completed his spherical with back-to-back birdies.
Xander Schauffele is one shot again from Morikawa, with whom he was tied after spherical one, and stays within the hunt for the £19m prize after a second-round 64.
Northern Eire’s Rory McIlroy is tied for tenth place on eight beneath par.
