Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been suspended from bowling in ECB competitions after enjoying only one match for Surrey final season.
The 37-year-old was investigated for his bowling motion in Surrey’s defeat by Somerset in September, the one match he performed for the county, earlier than they sealed a 3rd County Championship title in a row.
His motion exceeded the 15-degree threshold allowed by ECB guidelines, an impartial evaluation discovered.
“Shakib is ineligible to bowl in ECB competitions till he has handed an impartial re-assessment of his bowling motion,” the ECB stated in an announcement.
