JJ Slevin spared a thought for sidelined colleague Daryl Jacob after standing in for the injured jockey on Irish Grand National winner Intense Raffles at Fairyhouse.
Jacob, who’s retained by the 13-2 winner’s homeowners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, broke his collarbone in a fall at Newbury on March 22.
The ache won’t have eased as Intense Raffles, skilled by Thomas Gibney, held off Ted Walsh’s Any Second Now on Monday.
Slevin, who gained the race in 2018 on Common Precept, stated: ‘It’s Daryl’s trip. He’s sitting at house watching. I’m fortunate simply to get the trip.’
In the meantime, famous person hurdler Structure Hill has returned to coach Nicky Henderson’s steady after remedy for suspected colic.
