Bernie Ecclestone believes Lewis Hamilton is extra prone to retire than settle for a suggestion to drive for Ferrari.
Mail Sport broke the information of the Italian group’s interest on Monday, reporting that they need the seven-time world champion as soon as his £40million-a-year contract with Mercedes expires on the finish of this season.
Hamilton, 38, is in talks over a renewal together with his present group principal Toto Wolff. Each events say a brand new deal will probably be struck.
Ferrari’s favoured thought is to pair Hamilton with Charles Leclerc, their present No 1, rather than Carlos Sainz.
