Maloney was requested about the potential for Celtic signing 18-year-old Chelsea ahead Shim Mheuka on mortgage and stated “it is fairly tough to speak about” potential signings and “nothing’s confirmed with anybody”.
“Any signing in that striker space, it will both transpire within the subsequent 24, 48 hours, or we’ll simply go as we’re,” Maloney defined.
On Hatate, who has scored 33 targets in 191 Celtic appearances since becoming a member of in January 2022, Maloney commented: “He is an excellent participant.
“What he is carried out on the membership has been actually, actually good. He is gained many titles right here.
“If he does transfer on then he’ll keep in mind how good a participant he was for this membership.”
The Scottish switch deadline is on Thursday at 17:00 BST, with the Europa League squad to be registered by Wednesday at 23:59.
