Kieran Tierney went off injured because the Scotland defender ended six months on the sidelines by beginning Arsenal’s 3-2 League Cup quarter-final win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old had been sidelined since choosing up a hamstring damage in Scotland’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland on the Euro 2024 finals in June.
Tierney had been an unused substitute for Arsenal’s earlier seven video games after returned to full coaching.
However, after beginning at left-back, he was substituted after 69 minutes of his first Gunners look in 500 days with the perimeters degree at 1-1 on the Emirates Stadium.
