A life-sized statue commemorating five-time main winner Seve Ballesteros has gone lacking from his hometown of Pedrena in Spain.
Spanish authorities are investigating after Marina de Cudeyo city council mentioned on Instagram, external that the “unlucky occasion” on the weekend signifies the statue was stolen.
Spaniard Ballesteros, who helped Europe win 4 Ryder Cups as participant after which captain, died of mind most cancers in 2011 on the age of 54.
